As we approach the winter months while continuing to live during a pandemic, there may be no better time to address building and cultivating resilience, the ability to withstand adversity, bounce back, and grow and achieve balance following a crisis. Research shows that when living through adversity, higher levels of resilience are directly related to positive outcomes in managing chronic disease and pain and improving emotional and physical health (immune health, particularly). Join Dr. Lesley James for a series of classes about how resilience impacts our health and wellness, assessing our own resilience (hint: Americans tend to overestimate their resilience!), exploring ways to build up our personal resilience, and much more. You’ll learn diet, exercise, mind/body and lifestyle strategies, easy ways to incorporate botanicals (notably adaptogen and nervines) into your daily lives, and will receive handouts and exercises relevant to the class content.
