Healthy Holiday Survival Guide
Strategies to stay healthy and happy this holiday season
7:00-8:00PM | November 19, 2018
At WellWorks Class Led By Susan Sagan Levitan, Certified Holistic Health Coach and Wellness Speaker
For many of us, the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s filled with countless celebrations and lots of joy. But with that comes tempting treats, busy social calendars, and increased travel. This can lead to stress, overeating, emotional eating, less time for self care and physical activity, and ultimately weight gain.
By eating just a few hundred extra calories a day— a piece of pumpkin pie, a latke, some eggnog— the weight adds up. And the older we get the harder it is to take off. Losing the weight can take months or even years.
This year, you don’t have to struggle alone or take on an "I can eat whatever I want because I will diet in January” approach. We all know this rarely works in the long run.
In this class we will explore effective strategies to tackle the holiday season. You will learn how to reduce cravings, modify recipes, make smart choices, indulge at parties without over-doing it, incorporate physical activity, prioritize self care and more. You can enjoy the holiday season without weight gain, deprivation or guilt. Best of all, you won’t have to make going on a diet one of your New Year’s resolutions.
