Slim Down and Detox for Spring and Summer

After a long and harsh Rochester winter, it’s common to feel a bit more bloated and weighed-down than you would prefer at the start of spring and summer. If you’re ready to move your body out of hibernation, then this class is for you!
You will learn to identify which foods may be contributing to weight gain, and how to replace them with foods that will help you feel lighter and more energetic.
Explore the tools needed to not only lose excess weight, but also to facilitate your body’s natural detoxification processes. Takeaways include alcohol-free mocktail recipes using fresh herbs that you can use to keep the party going this summer, without the guilt!
About the teacher: Heather Carrera, MS, CNS graduated Suma Cum Laude from University of Bridgeport with a Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition, with a focus on an integrative and functional approach to assessing and counseling clients. She earned a certified nutrition specialist (CNS) through the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists, and in the fall of 2016 began working towards her doctor of clinical nutrition (DCN) at Maryland University of Integrative Health. She plans to complete her doctorate in Spring of 2019.
